Bentley S2 Continental Mulliner 2 door 196

This beautiful example has been treated to some minor paintwork restoration to include new Tudor red finelines. The interior has also had some attention, in particular the woodwork, all of which was removed to be re-polished. The original "His Masters Voice Radio" was re-fitted to the facia & still works, in a fashion, through its single speaker. The audio system does not stop here though as we have fitted a modern Alpine unit to the glovebox but in a way to allow full use of the storage space. In a similar mind set we have fitted the CD stacking unit in the boot in a position to not restrict luggage capacity. This car is intended for touring & is to be used just so.

The "Nardi" sterring wheel was removed in favour of the the original type & green seat belts were symathetically fitted to the front seats. New door mirrors & wipers were fitted as were new boot and rear lamp seals. Mechanically she was in fine order & only needed a service, front anti-roll bar rubbers, an engine mount & we set up the gearbox correctly after changing the oil & filter. The brakes were completely over hauled to include 2 new master cylinders, all 4 new wheel cylinders & brake linings. (The were new parts from Crewe & not re-built items). The steering box & ram were re-sealed & the idler arm bush was re-bushed. She was then shod in a new set of whitewall tyres & the engine bay was detailed & new hoses/belts/AC pipes were fitted just as a precaution. Finally the the original rear mounted AC was upgraded to the latest gas type & re-filled & tested.
